Whoever is left from the initial Big Bridge pullout is now on a hill overlooking Clermont.

Figure out how to get into town and take out the Germans to get the prize.  You potentially have Total Surprise if you don’t tip off any sentries or they don’t hear your Detroit motors.

You need to eliminate ALL the Germans in order to load up the gold.  However, “eliminate” could mean “Make a Deal.”  That Tiger TC?  “Maybe he’s a Republican.”  See NEW RULES – TALK THE TALK.

If you played “Hilltop”, remember your salvage limitations unless you were re-supplied by Oddball’s Army.

40 Troops protecting a town of no Military importance.  Its not big enough for a garrison.  This is the usual number of troops to support 3 Tiger tanks.  Note:  The troopers are army; the tankers and leading officers are SS.  The alert level of these troops is low because of the lax conditions 30 miles behind the lines.  Unless the Americans really bungle it, the Germans aren’t likely to notice them.  As per the movie, any satchel charges have to go off at least 4 turns after start of conflict.

Also note that some of Kelly’s troopers might be starving and have LOOT-FOOD attribute from not rescuing enough Rations from the Hilltop strafing.  They can satisfy Food Looting as they are coming into town, but each time one of them does so, there is a 1 in 1d6 chance of them attracting some attention from the Germans and losing surprise.  Otherwise, LOOT-FOOD happens during combat.

(1)  The assumption is that this is a Platoon plus an additional squad to support the 3 Tigers that are defending the bank.  These troops are waiting for the trucks that Colonel Dunkhepf was supposed to bring.

(2)  The assumption is that these are somewhat battleworn troops, with some raw recruits.  Mix of Rep 4 and Rep 3 with a rare Rep 2 or Rep 5.  This is the exception to the assumption.  The reason the allies wiped out so many was very good ambush strategy and surprise.

(3)  Choose your own Attributes per NUTS! 2nd Edition page 7

(4)  Standard NUTS! 2nd Edition German Infantry List from page 11.  Though Grenade Launcher weren’t seen in the movie, you could probably take them.  There seemed to be a larger quantity of SMGs than on the list.  PanzerFausts also weren’t seen, but you could have them.

(5)  These are the Infantry Commissioned Officers.  The SS officers are separate.

(6)  There are 10 Infantry to a squad and there are 4 squads.  You need to make the lists.

(1)  These trucks are to transport troopers who defend the gold shipment.  Only two trucks were shown in movie, so 3 others must have been parked elsewhere.

(2)  Not at all mentioned/shown in the movie, but what the heck.

(3)  This one is for the SS Officer and crew assigned to this shipment.
